Romanovych Oleh, a Dubno resident, was killed near the town of Mariinka

Terrible news came from the front. On Friday, 13 November, a 33-year-old Romanovych Oleh Fedorovych, a Dubno resident, was killed by a hostile bullet near the town of Mariinka near Donetsk. Very little is known about Oleh’s death and what is known is unverified information.

According to insider information from our military enlistment office, Oleh Romanovych was killed during the sabotage and reconnaissance force attack. In the course of the fight, the bullet hit the soldier. There weren’t chances of survival. The regional military enlistment office received a formal certificate of his death. But it is kept confidential.

According to the current information, four of our soldiers lost their lives near the town of Mariinka that day.

Oleh Romanovych was born on 12 June 1982. He was called up for military service on 10 March of this year. He served military obligations as a commanding officer of mortar detachment in the 14th Volodymyr-Volynsk mechanized brigade (formerly called the 51st). He was married. His wife, Victoriia, is 29 years old and his daughter, Anhelina, is nine years old.

According to social networks, that fateful day was their wedding anniversary.

On the day Oleh was killed, his wife had spoken to him by telephone.

His family didn’t see its defender return from the front line. After six months of service, Oleh was meant to come home on vacation but kept it for later as he wanted to enjoy a family Christmastime. Oleh had everything to be happy, his decent family and own apartment. Oleh’s parents bought a peasant house and left him the flat. But the war took him far away from home and put him up for a grilling.

Rest in peace!

An imperishable memory of the Defender of Ukraine!

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
