Memoirs of the villagers.
The immature death always takes the best people out of life. We can say that Trokhymchuk Ivan was one of the best. The boy was an excellent student in the junior and the middle classes. He had a tendency to mathematical sciences and liked physical education. But the boy could not develop and improve his knowledge. The tangible financial situation forced him to go to work on the power-saw bench of the local entrepreneur in the ninth class, and later he had to go on seasonal work in the eleventh grade.
Ivan did not like display himself, he was friendly and kind. His mother’s roots were in the village of Bohushi, where his grandfather Vasylets Karp Ivanovych lived, who was repressed in the 50’s for his faith and he served his sentence in Siberia courageously. In 1956 year, he returned from there with very sick legs, but never accused anyone. By his nature, Ivan was the most similar to him. And yet he was like his kind and gentle grandmother Yefrosyniia too.
Ivan hadn’t hid anywhere, when he had to go to the army, instead of this, he honestly and passed the service faithfully. Subsequently, he got into the 51st individual mechanized brigade in the ATO zone. He was wounded twice and tragically perished during on the vacation for rehab after one of the wounds on August 6, 2014. He was awarded with the Order of Courage of the 3rd Degree posthumously.
We are proud of our countryman. His roots and the roots of his ancestors were from the native village. A simple guy who loved Ukraine loyally and went to defend its independence and integrity without hesitation.
From myself, I would like to say a few words about ATO. We all know that most of the guys, who go to serve, do not believe in God. But falling there in the real hell, when they face to face with death, they reflect on their lives. In hard times, they remember relatives, their childhood, and then poetic writings, songs, and prayers are born.
