Yevhen Riepin was born on September 18, 1994, in the city of Rivne. He lived in Ivan Franko Street. He graduated from Rivne Technical College of the National University of Water and Environmental Management, specializing in Maintenance and Repair of Equipment of Enterprises of Chemical and Oil and Gas Processing Industry. In the 80 ‘s he served in the Air Cavalry Brigade in the city of Lviv.
He joined the Anti-Terrorist Operation as a volunteer. From November 2014 he was enrolled to the 81 Novohrad-Volynsk Air Cavalry Brigade of the Reconnaissance Squadron.
Furthermore, from November 2014 Yevhen became the machine gunner-reconnaissance man. He demonstrated exceptional abilities, and thanks to that he was transferred to the position of the sniper of the intelligence group, which he headed later. He commanded a number of successful raids.
He died on March 20, 2015. The tragedy occurred near the village of Vodiane (Yasynuvatskyi Raion), near the city of Donetsk. Yevhen together with a group of soldiers went to rescue his friend, got into an ambush and was mortally wounded.
Evhen Riepin was buried on March 25, 2015, in Rivne on the Alley of Heroes of Nove Cemetery.
According to the Presidential Executive Order № 270/2015 on May 15, 2015, the soldier was posthumously decorated with the Third Class Order For Bravery “for valor and high professionalism demonstrated in the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”.
According to the decision of the Rivne City Council No. 5756 on September 17, 2015, Riepin Yevhen Viktorovych was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Rivne”.

actly: it was a mine or throw of grenade, – Oleh Pantylei remembered that day. But we got such trouble – we lost the beautiful guy (Yevhen was 1 meter 95 centimeters height). He was a late child, that is why all relatives named him a Sun. But the most valuable his feature was his constant helping everyone both in civil life and on military service. Getting in our military subdivision in November, 2014, Yevhen did his best immediately. He successfully executed tactical objectives, which he’d been entrusted. So Yevhen was promoted to the position of commander of group from a private machine gunner. He was an extraordinarily reliable warrior, who always made correct decisions, had a gift to inspire inferiors and battle blood brothers during implementing tasks of any complication. Without any exaggeration Yevhenii Riepin was a true patriot of Ukraine.
