Ruslan Klymenko (09.08.1978 – 03.12.2016)

Ruslan Y. Klymenko was born on September 8, 1978, in the rural town of Rokytne.  He studied at Rokytne School № 1 from 1985 to 1992, and

from 1992 to 1994, he learned a trade of a cabinet-maker, builder, and carpenter in Rokytne Vocational School. Ruslan had jobs as an unskilled worker in private companies.

However, according to the Decree on Partial Mobilization, he was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 20, 2015, to defend the borders of the country.

He did military service in the village of Yelyzavetivka, Donetsk Oblast.

Ruslan died in the Raion Hospital of the town of Kurakhove, Donetsk Oblast, on March 12, 2016. He left a father and an adult son. Ruslan Klymenko was buried in the rural town of Rokytne, Rivne Oblast.… Читати далі

Leonid Ozeranchuk (12.01.1991 – 05.22.2014)

Leonid Ozeranchuk was born on December 1, 1991, in the village of Tomashhorod, Rokytne Raion, Rivne Oblast. In 2009, he finished the local Educational Complex “Comprehensive School-Lyceum”. In the same 2009, Ozeranchuk family moved to the village of Osnytsk for the permanent place of residence.  Leonid entered Sarny Vocational School №22 which he finished in 2011 obtaining the qualification of an automobile mechanic. From 2012 to 2013, Leonid served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Having returned from service, Leonid worked on a saw machine in Tomashhorod Forest Division of the Governmental Establishment Klesiv Forestry Enterprise.

Leonid died on May 22, 2014, during an armed attack on a checkpoint in the area of Velyko-Anadol Railway Station in Donetsk Oblast.

The deceased soldier left parents, two sisters and a fiancee.

According to the Presidential Executive Order №311/2015 on June 4, 2015, Leonid was posthumously decorated with the Medal for Defender of the Motherland “for personal courage and high professionalism demonstrated in the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”.… Читати далі

Petro Bilets (05.28.1986-08.29.2014)

Petro Bilets was born on May 28, 1986, in the village of Netreba, Rokytne District, Rivne Region. In 2002, he finished secondary school in the village of Netreba. From 2004 to 2006, Petro had been enlisted in the Tank Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Lviv. After finishing the service, he had worked in the Forestry Division in the village of Borivske.
On April 10, 2014, Petro was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the 51st Mechanized Brigade in the city of Volodymyr-Volynsk.

Petro Bilets was last heard of on August 28. Petro died in the battle outside the town of Ilovaisk on August 29, 2014, during the departure from the Ilovaisk Cauldron through the so-called “green corridor” near the village of Novokaterynivka. On September 2, the body of the soldier together with the bodies of other 97 deceased was delivered to the morgue in the city of Zaporizhzhia. Petro Bilets was identified by his battle comrades and relatives.… Читати далі

Stanislav Kulakevych (03.09.1989 – 07.26.2014)

Stanislav Andriiovych was born on March 9, 1989 in the village of Blazhove, Rokytnivskyi district, Rivne region. From 1995 to 2006 he was studying at Blazhiv secondary school levels I-III degree.

From April 2007 to April 2008, he served a regular service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in landing troops as commander of the department. For conscientious execution of the military duty was repeatedly awarded from the leadership of the army.

April 10, 2014 was called to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He was a junior sergeant, a sniper, and served in the 51st mechanized brigade. He was killed on July 26, 2014, from gunshot wounds in the ATO zone during combat missions.

By Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 311/2015 dated June 4, 2015, “for the personal courage and high professionalism found in the protection of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath,” was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree (posthumously).… Читати далі

Vitalii Marynych (02.02.1992 – 05.22.2014)

Vitalii Marynych was born on February 2, 1992, in the village of Rokytne, Rokytne Raion, Rivne Oblast. From 1998 to 2008, he studied at Rokytne Educational Complex “Comprehensive School-Lyceum”. In 2008, Vitalii entered Rokytne Vocational School which he graduated in 2010 obtaining the qualification of a bricklayer-stove maker, plasterer. In April 2010, he was drafted into compulsory military service, which he did in the military base of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (MITITNTUU “KPI”) in Kyiv. In April 2011, Vitalii was transferred to the reserve from the position of the mechanic of automobile subdivision of Minsk Tractor Works (MTW) Platoon. From September 2012 to February 2014, he worked in Rokytne Fire Department.

On April 10, 2014, Vitalii was called up into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a soldier and reconnaissance officer of the 51st Mechanized Brigade.

Vladyslav Shemurovskyi (08.23.1993 – 08.31.2016)

Vladyslav was born in the town of Radyvyliv of Rivne Oblast on September 23, 1993. He studied at the Radyvyliv Secondary School. In 2011 Volodymyr graduated from Radyvyliv Trade School №26.  He was an active participant of the Revolution of Dignity. Vladyslav, the soldier of the 18th Unit of Territorial Defense, was attached to the 8th Battalion Combat “Cherven”. Vladyslav participated in the blockade of the Crimea as a member of Pravyi Sector Organization.

Vladyslav was killed while performing combat tasks on September 31, 2016, near the village of Shyrokyne, Volnovanskyi Raion, Donetsk Oblast.

He is buried in his hometown of Radyvyliv, Rivne Oblast.… Читати далі

Mykola Kuliba (“Batia”/ “Diadia (Uncle) Kolia”) (12.27.1960 – 05.23.2016)

Mykola Kuliba was born on December 27, 1960, in the village of Sribne, Radyvyliv Raion, Rivne Oblast.

He was the youngest child in the family. Before taking part in the war, Mykola was a police captain. Moreover, he worked on various construction sites of the Ukrainian DIY hypermarkets “Epicenter” as well as was a storekeeper in the cities of Rivne and Lutsk.

Mykola Kuliba (a code name “Diadia (Uncle) Kolia”) previously participated in the Nahirnyi Karabakh War. After the outbreak of war between Russia and Ukraine, he joined the army as a volunteer in order to defend Ukraine. He was a master sergeant and a squad leader of the 24th Assault Battalion Aidar.

Mykola died on May 23, 2016, near the village of Taramchuk, Mariinka Raion, Donetsk Oblast. A car driven by Mykola to the area of the enemy drone crash landing was blown up by an anti-tank mine. He was 55 years old.

Maksym Liashuk (05.18.1989 – 08.29.2014)

 

Maksym Liashuk was born on May 18, 1989, in the city of Lutsk. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to the village of Ostrozhets, Mlyniv Raion. After finishing the local school, a boy entered Lutsk Institute of Human Development of the University “Ukraine”. His major was Physical Rehabilitation.

After serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Maksym worked as a policeman of the Platoon No. 2 in the Special Rota of the Judicial Police “Hryphon” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. He was also an Assistant Security Officer of the Division of Quick Response “Sokol” of HUBOZ.

At the age of 22, Maksym finished his service in the police forces for health reasons. He worked as a teacher of physical education and the director of the regional tourism center in Mlyniv Center of Tourism.

Maksym was an active participant of Maidan in Kyiv. He was one of the first who joined the Battalion “Svitiaz” where he served as a platoon commander.… Читати далі

Andrii Bielkin (07.02.1977-06.24.2014)

Andrii Bielkin was born on July 2, 1977, in Alushta, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He was of Russian origin. Andrii dreamed of becoming a pilot since childhood. Thus, having finished school, he entered Kharkiv National Air Force University.

After graduation, he obtained a specialization in flight operations and combat employment of aircraft. Starting from 2007, Andrii participated in the peace-support missions under the aegis of the United Nations in Liberia. He was a commander of a helicopter unit in a squadron of the 16th Independent Brigade of Military Air Forces of the 8th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Andrii’s military decorations are “15 Years of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” Medal, “Third Class Good Conduct” Medal, “UNMIL” UNO Medal. Andrii was a very equable and sensitive person and a true professional.

He died during the Anti-Terrorism Operation on June 24, 2014, near the mountain Karachun not far from the town of Sloviansk in Donetsk Region. The terrorists shot down a Ukrainian military helicopter Mi-8 under the command of Andrii Bielkin on its way back from the checkpoint with the professionals installing the equipment for monitoring the space and tracing the cases of ceasefire violation on board with a man-portable air defense system.… Читати далі

Nazar Krokhmal (03.11.1993 – 06.11.2014)

Krokhmal Nazar Ivanovych was born on November 3, 1993 in Mykhailivka village, Radyvyliv district, Rivne region. He went to the 1st form of the secondary school in Mykhailivka in 2000. Since childhood he loved the land, his family and native Ukraine with all his heart, this love and desire to live in a free country he inherited from his great-grandfather Ivan who was an UPA warrior.

Nazar had studied at the Lviv Technical College of Railway Transport from 2009 to 2013. On October 30, 2013, he entered the military service under a contract, and on November 29, he took an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian nation. He has been dreaming about military profession since school times, and when he became a soldier he felt that this occupation is his vocation. Since August 2014, Nazar has been in the ATO zone as a member of snipers’ formation of Lviv 80th separate high-rise landing squad of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.… Читати далі
