(20.07.1975 – 25.06. 2015)
Serhii Shvets was born on July 20, 1975, in the town of Dubno. He graduated from Dubno Secondary School №6 and Dubno Vocational School, worked at various jobs. On May 13, 2015, Serii was conscripted. He did not have a family, that is why, he went to serve, though, remained the only son of his mother. The elder son and a husband of his mother were already buried earlier. Unfortunately, the soldier of the 2nd Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of Operational Command “Pivnich”, a communication agent didn’t serve for long.
Serhii was killed near the village of Luhanske, Artemivsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast. Serhii Shvets didn’t live three weeks till his fortieth anniversary. He died on the night of June 25, 2015. In the evening Serhii talked to his mom, Halyna, who did not suspect anything wrong and did not think that it was the last talk with him. Maksym Medviediev was born on December 10, 1983, in the city of Rivne. He held the rank of soldier, gunner, and paratrooper of the 95th Air-Mobile Brigade in the city of Zhytomyr. Maksym served in the 55th Signal Brigade on the contract basis in the city of Rivne. As a part of the brigade, he was in the Zone of ATO (the Anti-Terrorist Operation). Having served in the 55th Signal Brigade in the Zone of ATO, he volunteered for military service according to the partial mobilization after a quick rest. Maksym was sent for the conversion training to the 95th Brigade. During the conversion training on a military training area in Zhytomyr Oblast, Maksym suffered a heart attack that caused his death the day before sending to the Zone of ATO.
Maksym lived in Rivne and spent his childhood with grandparents in the village of Myrohoshcha.
At his wish, Maksym was buried at the cemetery in Myrohoshcha, Dubno Raion, Rivne Oblast.… Читати далі
Eduard Danilov was born on August 4, in the city of Pinsk, Belarus. He studied at the Vasylkiv Military Aeronautical Technical Academy in 1985-1988.
From 1988 to 2001, Eduard served as a senior aircraft maintenance technician in Dubno Military Unit. Since 1996 till the unit disbandment, he was a commanding officer of the technical exploitation unit of the bomber air regiment of the bomber aviation division.
Eduard served as a senior aircraft maintenance technician in the military unit in 2001-2004.
He took part in the United Nations peacekeeping missions twice: the first time in 2004 in Sierra Leone, and the second – in 2005 in Liberia. Eduard was decorated twice with the United Nations Medals “For the Service of Peace”.
In the winter of 2014, he was on Maidan in Kyiv. On March 24, 2014, Eduard was conscripted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by a recruiting station of Dubno and Radyvyliv and sent to the military unit in the town of Kalyniv.… Читати далі
Serhii Kochetov was born in the town of Smyha, Dubno Raion. He was the only son in the family. Serhii studied in Smyha Secondary School.
After its graduation in 2003, he attended Kozyn Driving School. Then, Serhii did the military service in the town of Yavoriv, Lviv Oblast.
From January 30, 2013, to August 30, 2014, he actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity. He took part in the Hrushevskyi Street Riots and defended the Ukrainian House. Serhii was severely shell-shocked on Maidan. Because of the serious problems with his back, he felt pain when walking. Despite all this, on August 30, 2014, Serhii started to fight in the war. Since that time and till his death, he fought in Aidar. At first, he was a volunteer there, but in February 2015, Serhii signed a contract until the end of the special period or, in other words, till the end of the so-called Anti-terrorist Operation.
Firstly, Serhii Kochetov was on a reconnaissance mission, and then, he became a senior gunner of the mortar platoon in Aidar 24th Assault Battalion of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade.… Читати далі
Dmytro Napriienko was born on February 21, 1991, in the city of Dubno.
He studied at Dubno Educational Complex “School-Gymnasium”, Dubno Pedagogical College and at the Faculty of Humanities (English Philology Department) of Taras Shevchenko Regional Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy of Kremenets.
In December 2014, 24-year-old Dmytro volunteered for the front. He was a junior sergeant, a sniper of the mechanized infantry platoon of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Rota of the 99th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, the military base – Field Post Office В0116, the 14th Mechanized Brigade (formerly – the 1st Territorial Defense Battalion “Volyn”). Dmytro had a code name “Aramis”.
On December 1, 2015, he lost his life during the tragic circumstances near the city of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka Raion, Donetsk Oblast.
His last interview appeared on October 22, in the local newspaper under the title “Snipers Hunt the Heroes”.
He was buried with military honors on December 5, 2015, in the city of Dubno.… Читати далі
Anatolii Lebid was born on September 27, 1978, in the city of Rivne. He was a serviceman and a senior warrant officer of the 55th Separate Signal Brigade. Anatolii served in the Military Unit A-1671.
According to the report of The Press-Center of the Operational Command “North”, Anatolii died on March 19, 2015, as a result of careless handling of weapons while performing the duties in Sumy Oblast. The senior warrant officer was 36 years old. Anatolii left a wife and two children.
On March 25, 2015, he was buried in the village of Olybiv, Dubno Raion.
On September 17, 2015, the City Council of Rivne issued the Decree №575 that conferred Anatolii Lebid the title of the Honorary Citizen of Rivne.… Читати далі
Petro Nakydaliuk was born on July 4, 1990, in the village of Ploska, Dubno Raion. He finished Dubno Comprehensive School №3 and attended Dubno Physical Culture School. From the age of 17, Petro went in for sports professionally. He became a Candidate Master of Sports of Ukraine in arm wrestling. In 2014, he was called up into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 24-year-old military officer was a tank man. On March 11, he was killed in the village of Pisky (Yasynuvata Raion) near Donetsk.
Ruslan was decorated with the Order For Bravery for courage and valor.
According to the Presidential Executive Order #573/2015 on 10 October 2015, he was posthumously decorated with the Third Class Order For Bravery “for personal courage and high professionalism demonstrated in the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”.… Читати далі
Mykhailo Liashyk was born in Dubno. He lived on 68 A, Hrushevskoho Street, app. 34. Mykhailo studied at School No. 6 and later became a student of Dubno Professional Lyceum. In 2011, he joined the army. At the beginning of service, he had a special training in “communication organization” in Poltava. In six months, Mykhailo was transferred into the 24th Mechanized Brigade in Yavoriv, where he served for half a year. Mykhailo was demobilized in 2012. He was actively engaged in sports, particularly boxing and pankration.
In April 2014, Mykhailo was mobilized again. He served as a soldier of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the famous 51st Mechanized Brigade and fought near Ilovaisk and many other hot spots in the East. Mykhailo returned home alive and unbroken. However, in February 2015, he got into a car accident, because of which he died on March 30, 2015.… Читати далі
Oleh Romanovych was born on June 12, 1982. He studied at Dubno Secondary School №6 and later – Dubno Professional Lyceum of the town of Dubno.
He was conscripted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to the partial mobilization on March 10, 2015. He served in 14 Volodymyr-Volynsk Mechanized Brigade as a Commander of mine thrower of The Third Mechanized Battalion. On November 17, 2015, a 33-year-old serviceman got gunshot wound incompatible with life.

Mykola Humeniuk was born on May 23, 1993, in the village of Ptycha, Dubno Raion. He was a soldier and a driver of the 51st Mechanized Infantry Brigade. Mykola perished during the departure from the battlefield of Ilovaisk through the so-called “green corridor” between the villages of Katerynivka and Horbatenko. On September 3, 2014, the soldier’s body along with the 96 bodies of the other deceased was transported to Dnipropetrovsk. On October 16, Mykola was temporarily buried as an unknown hero at the Krasnopil Cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk. He has been identified thanks to the DNA test.
